Wilton Hockey Club was established in 1947 as part of the ICI recreation unit. Back in those days the team was called ICI Wilton and played it's games on grass at the ICI Recreation Club in Grangetown. ICI sold the recreation facilities and it became Manion Park when we also dropped the ICI from our name and became Wilton Hockey Club as we are today. We now play our games at Thornaby Community School Sporting Central on their astroturf pitch.
